Dear all @ MARRS
hope your all well. just thought i'd check in to say hi.
arrived here 20th mar and the weather has steadily got hot. have been out the wire on a few occasions now and had to deal with some proper injured boys and girls (hell thats what i trained for!)
currently located in a patrol base with the Afghan National Army (ANA) who are are a very wierd yet feerless bunch.
I picked up my promotion the other week and now have a posting to catterick on my return from ops, but i will still be down to play.

Why are chavs like slinkies?
They have no real use but it's great watching one fall down a flight of stairs

Hi guys
just back from a mommoth 10 days out with the lads. pretty hairy stuff, got a few contacts and had a few lads injured..not bad though but enough for CASEVAC. got back in today after an IED strike on an ANA vehicle, proper shit myself

Just back in from doing some R&R cover in the Sangin Area. Have been cutting around the varous FOBs and PBs looking after the guys and training the ANA medics.
The ANA are quite lazy but as soon as they step out the PB all they want to do is mix it up with the TB, which usually isnt a bad thing but as soon as we get a contact they use up all thier ammo they then look at us to continue the fight (which we do) but generally have to withdraw so we dont leave ourselves short.
